The annual Youth Circus Extravaganza, a one-of-a-kind and exhilarating experience, is our signature event that celebrates the hard work and dedication of our circus students.

When Steve Roenker and Jean St. John envisioned a youth circus program, they set out to create a professional showcase that would allow the students to experience the thrill of performing in front of an audience with full production values.

This is the 25th Youth Circus Extravaganza. Over the years, we have moved it to different venues, but we knew we needed a large open space to create an intimate one-ring atmosphere. So, we are now using school gyms, and we bring the production values: the pipe and drape, the ring curbs, sound, and lights!

Circus Youth in Action, our creative youth development program for teens, chooses the theme and brainstorms each year's title. They help develop the acts are "Act Captains", the younger students.

It lasts 90 minutes with an intermission. There are mats behind the ring curbs for children to sit up close. We have posters, postcards and programs with each student highlighted in the program with a photo and bio.

This year's title is 2025 A Circus Odyssey: discovering circus through the ages. It will be presented on Saturday, May 10, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Fairview-Clifton German Language School, 3689 Clifton Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45220.
